In The Pink

In The Pink by Starr Design -

This tutorial will focus more on technique instead of exact supplies. Many of us already have everything needed in our stash closet to make similar earrings. I picked up these beautiful Paua shell cabochons from Fire Mountain Gems with the intention of doing a beaded bezel. Tried as I may, my labors proved fruitless. These were so thin, or low profile, that it wouldn't hold it's shape. Or it flip flops around until I just give up on getting that thing in there.

This technique works perfectly as you can see from the photo. I had the thought of cutting out a picture, covering it with clear plastic on the top and cushioning the back with an extra piece of the stiff stuff, and then continue with the techniques as written in this tutorial. It would make a beautiful fob! Or, what about encasing some cameos! Too thin for a bezel? Not for this!
